Photography-led production

Editorial Content Day:
Create a useful asset library in one deliberate day

An Editorial Content Day is a carefully planned photography-led production designed to create a substantial, coherent body of brand imagery efficiently.

It is not a day of improvising as many disconnected pictures as possible. We define the objective, themes and destinations in advance so the finished library has range without losing its point of view.

One objective, several connected themes

The day may be structured around up to five themes, including spaces and atmosphere, people and service, food or products, process and detail, portraits, or seasonal campaign moments.

The selected themes must serve a single principal objective and be achievable within the agreed location, access, and production day.

Focused starting scope

  • one brand and one clearly defined objective;

  • up to five agreed content themes;

  • one photography-led production day of up to ten hours, including the meal break;

  • approximately 40 to 50 finished photographs;

  • one consolidated revision;

  • the standard licence.

Styling, models, film, location sound, specialist sets, major scene changes, extensive product variations and large packshot volumes are additional.

Preparation that protects the day

An Editorial Content Day works efficiently because key decisions are made before production begins.

We agree on the priority themes, route through the location, scene sequence and intended visual character. We also consider how natural light changes throughout the day, which spaces or products require preparation, when people need to be available, and what practical restrictions could interrupt production.

This preparation reduces avoidable delays, protects the priority images and helps the finished library maintain a coherent visual language.

Where the brief requires more controlled lighting, a technical lighting plan or a separate physical pre-light, we incorporate the appropriate preparation into the proposed scope.

This demonstrates care and professionalism by explaining the benefit of your expertise without asking the prospect to understand diffusion, negative fill, colour temperature, grip, or reflection control.

Designed for purposeful reuse

Our deliverables support core website pages, launches, PR, presentations, social channels, email and campaign materials. Planning for several destinations creates a more useful library while maintaining a coherent visual identity.

When another Format may be better

Choose Project Storytelling for in-depth documentation of one completed project, Signature Campaign when photography and film must work around a larger concept, or The Content Flow when the brand needs a sustained production rhythm.

Working with Marco is always a productive experience. In my opinion, due to his particular training, he approaches even the most creative projects in a methodical manner; always thinking about the use of the imagery beyond just the photoshoot.
I find his well-considered approach, including the laid-out storyboard/concept, gives the client a lot of confidence that nothing will be missed, nor an opportunity would get lost in the shoot.

Give one day a clear purpose

Whether you are preparing for a website refresh, launch, seasonal update, or simply need a stronger, more coherent image library, tell us what needs to change and where the finished work needs to perform.

We will help you identify the most useful content themes and determine whether an Editorial Content Day is the right starting point.

Always a great experience to work with Marco and his team. Every time it’s a unique story. Highly recommended.
