Turn work into proof
A completed project should keep building your reputation
Project Storytelling turns completed or live work into credible evidence of thinking, craft and the ability to deliver.
Rather than treating photography or film as a final record, we shape the project into a story that helps future clients understand what was achieved, why it mattered and what distinguishes the people behind it.
When Project Storytelling is useful
This format is designed for architects, designers, makers, contractors, hospitality brands and specialist project teams who need their work to do more than sit in a portfolio.
A Project Story can help you:
demonstrate expertise to future clients;
explain design intent, materials and specialist craftsmanship;
reveal collaboration and problem-solving;
support a website case study or credentials document;
prepare evidence for PR, awards or bid submissions;
turn a completed commission into an enduring reputation asset.
What the audience needs to understand
A useful Project Story may reveal the original challenge, design intention, the experience created, material choices, specialist craft, collaboration, problem-solving and the completed outcome.
We determine which elements should be communicated through photography, which benefit from film or human testimony, and where the resulting proof needs to perform.
The result is not simply a collection of attractive images. It is a coherent body of evidence shaped around what future clients need to see, understand and believe.
How it works
Define the commercial role
We establish the target audience, what the project needs to demonstrate and where the finished story will be used.
Find the narrative
We identify the most relevant aspects of the project, from the original challenge and design intent to its materials, execution, experience and outcome.
Plan and capture
We develop the appropriate visual approach, access plan and production priorities. Depending on the story, this may involve photography, film, interviews or an integrated production.
Build the evidence
We select, edit and finalise the agreed assets into a coherent project narrative, prepared for the websites, presentations, publications and campaigns identified in the brief.
How the story may take shape
Photography-led
A coherent sequence of photographs may reveal the project in context, the experience it creates, its materials, details, craftsmanship and completed outcome.
Film-led
Film can communicate movement, atmosphere, process and human perspective, particularly when the project’s value cannot be understood through still images alone.
Integrated
Photography, film and selected interviews may work together when the project requires a richer case study, campaign or body of evidence across several destinations.
Where the story can work
Project Storytelling can support:
website case studies and project pages;
PR and editorial submissions;
credentials and bid presentations;
award entries;
launch announcements;
social and email communications;
future sales conversations.
The deliverables and usage are agreed for the destinations that matter.
How Project Storytelling is commissioned
Project Storytelling defines the purpose and structure of the work, rather than its production scale.
A one-off Project Story is normally commissioned through The Signature Package, with the appropriate level recommended based on the objective, access, narrative depth and required assets.
When a client has a steady stream of completed projects, Project Storytelling may instead become a recurring part of The Content Flow.
Discuss your project
Tell us what has been completed, why it is significant, and who needs to understand its value. We will establish what the story needs to prove and recommend the most proportionate way to commission it.
